If you live in Glasgow, Paisley, Renfrew, Erskine or Bishopton, your practical test will almost certainly be at a Glasgow centre. The ones pupils mention most are Glasgow (Shieldhall) in the south-west, Glasgow (Anniesland) in the west, and Glasgow (Baillieston) in the east.
Centres open, close and change names. Treat this list as orientation, then confirm the live list on GOV.UK before you book. Your instructor should already be teaching the routes they expect you to use — that is a fair question on the first call.
Shieldhall and the Renfrewshire run
Shieldhall sits close to the M8 and the Clyde. It is a common choice for Paisley, Renfrew and west-Glasgow pupils because the approach roads match what you already drive in lessons. Anniesland suits people learning toward Knightswood, Bearsden and the west end. Baillieston is the usual east-end option.
Theory tests are a different building. Book theory through GOV.UK as well — do not assume your ADI’s car park is a theory centre.
